Justin Wojtczak of 375 Photography has been shooting tons of images with an assortment of Sigma lenses over the past few months and put together this great highlight reel on Vimeo showcasing his great images made with Sigma gear. We asked him to give some background and tips into how he made each shot so you can take his advice and apply it to your own upcoming shoots.
One of the benefits for outdoor sports shooters on APS-C sensors is the gain in reach with telephotos lenses. The negative of course is that now your wide angle 16mm is now not so wide at 25.6mm. Thankfully Sigma has a great wide-angle lens perfect for crop sensor shooters…the 10-20mm f3.5! Photographer Robert Lopshire used the Sigma DP2 Merrill instead of a DSLR for a model shoot, and was amazed at the big-camera image quality of this amazing compact, prime lens camera with the 46 megapixel Merrill Generation Foveon X3 Direct Image Sensor.
Justin Wojtczak of 375Photography.com created this very cool behind the scenes and how-to video of a trash-the-dress session exclusively with Sigma lenses. All the still shots, as well as all the HDSLR footage of Justin and crew in action were captured with Sigma glass including the 70-200mm F2.8, the 20mm F1.8, and the 85m, 50mm and 30mm F1.4 primes.
